It is common to hear nowadays that “AI will take our jobs” and “Millions of jobs will be replaced by AI’s” blah blah. But many of us don’t know.
We are just in the beginning phase of AI. Let’s break this down. There are three types of AI: 1. Artificial Narrow Intelligence(ANI) 2.
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) 3. Artificial Superintelligence (ASI). If you want a summary of those 3 types, here’s a sheet for you. For those who wish to much depth of knowledge, just a little bit of scrolling will be needed.

Brief discussion
1. Artificial Narrow Intelligence:
Let us understand ANI with an example. Imagine a machine that is designed to do one specific task like a screwdriver (only used for screws), a face recognition software ( only used for recognising faces) etc. Currently, we are in the era of ANI. The chatbots we see around us are all examples of ANI. They can do only one thing. But they are the master of that work.
2. Artificial General Intelligence:
Artificial General Intelligence can be equivalent to human-level intelligence. It is not achieved yet, but it is considered mastering multiple things. Imagine a machine that can cook, clean, garden, etc., and learn other things like humans do. It is now in the development phase. We are predicted to have AGI by the end of this decade.AGI will be far more intelligent than AI.
3. Artificial Super Intelligence:
This is where The god mode of AI comes in. It is considered that this can do anything imaginable. It is still in theories, but every theory turns into practical at some time, right? THE ASI can surpass the Human level of intelligence. If achieved, it could solve global problems, such as world hunger, global warming, and many other issues. But good things come at a discount, right? We should also keep in mind that it will have both the ability to destroy humankind and develop humans. An example would be sci-fi movies about a dystopian world ruled by robots. The movie Terminator is a perfect example of this.
AI is here to develop humankind but could also have harmful uses. Those who take the beginner’s advantage always survive in the long run. So, follow AI_Hablu to stay ahead of most people.
