AI vs HUMANS

In recent times it’s a burning question whether AI will replace humans or not. Well if you’re looking for a short answer then ‘No’. But if we look into the bigger picture then it’s hard to say that AI has nothing to do with the job sectors. In this blog, we will try to give a little more insight about this question of yours and many others.

Are you among these job fields?

There are some fields where AI has already replaced humans. Or at least robotics has. Think of a day-to-day job, like Photocopy. In the early days, people used to copy notes manually. But in the 21st century if you see someone copying notes by writing it, you will be pretty much disturbed, won’t you? I can give examples of at least a thousand more where robotics has replaced humans. But we were talking about AI, right? Yes, AI is also a part, a very essential part of robotics. Now AI has actually replaced humans in some of the job sectors. Like copywriting, graphic designing, and in some cases, AI has eaten up the places of a programmer as well. But there are some loopholes in this conversation.

See, if you are in the top 1 percent of your job field or even 10 percent, you have no risk from AI. Anyone can guarantee you that. It really doesn’t matter then which job you’re doing. We’re talking about that 90 percent leftover people. Say, copywriting. In the earlier days, it had a really good market value. But day by day it’s decreasing because AI can do exactly what a human could do. Do you know what’s the best part? AI can do things even faster. So why would anyone take the hassle of hiring a man to do so? Now it doesn’t mean that AI can do a work faster meaning it can do it better. Though scientists are still developing AI it can’t do things precisely like a human. It can’t give the emotions in the writing. So, yes. There are also some drawbacks to choosing AI over humans. And it is true for all the job fields. Where emotions aren’t that necessary, like coding, AI can’t cope with the latest coding language as it has to be given instructions. Someone has to train the AI. Otherwise, it will remain older.

What should we do then?

Now the question arises, what should we do then? should we just sit down and do our job as usual or do something else? Look, AI hasn’t been able to be that much powerful to replace humans “yet”. But it doesn’t mean that it won’t be in the future. I can surely tell that in the upcoming days AI will be so much more powerful that if you are not in the top 10 percent of your industry and somehow your industry is a digital one, you could lose your job. So it’s our duty to constantly push ourselves to be the better version of ourselves. To keep improving the skills that AI can never replicate. Moreover, we should focus on building our soft skills. And lastly, keep ourselves updated about this necessary evil also known as ‘AI’
